Always play safe. Not all the immigration lawyers have the same answers. You might be right on several occasions, but the company will always go with the advice from the company lawyers. I have faced several idiotic decisions from my company lawyers which screwed me up big time in my GC process. But I have always played safe because I need the support from my company. When you take an offer from the new employer you do not know how good/bad are those company attorneys are. So play safe as it will cost you heavily.
NOTE: Having waited for several years with patience, develop the patience to wait for 6-8 months after 485 filing to be on safer side. Also invoking AC21 exactly after 6months does not create a good impression on you from your current employer as well as from the potential future employer. Always have a valid reason for invoking AC21 and do not invoke just because you can invoke. My 2 cents.
How do you prove to USCIS that your notice date is Aug 3 bcos I suppose in yr receipt notice, the date mentioned is of august.

As far as i know PF is controlled by the central government, TCS will not have any say in you withdrawing your money. Generally there is an upto 15% match from the company in your account, and that is yours the moment it is deposited in your account. You should not have any problems withdrawing your money. Your money is yours. Some companies deposit PF monies quarterly, small companies deposit it annually, in those cases you might be screwed if you company did not deposit the money in your account.
Has anyone managed to withdraw money from TCS PF from Mumbai India?
If so, pls advise on the procedure for the same?

You have to somehow prove to USCIS that company A and C are subsidiaries and mere mentioning that they have been owned by the same person may not fly. You need some kind of proof on paper.
This may not fly because, both are considered different legal entities. The time that you have worked for A from Oct 05 to Aug 06 till the date H1B Transfer was filed from C to A, your employment will be considered unauthorized.
You need to immediately contact a good lawyer to evaluate your situation and options. I am sure they will find a way out.
Your case is slightly different than working for multiple employers while on H1B.
You can have multiple H1B's and work for multiple employers, given one of them is primary full time employment. This is perfectly legal and one of my friend has gone through this situation during his GC process. He did get an RFE and provided the details of both employments to CIS and they eventually approved his case. This was in 2004 though.

receiving RFE during 485 stage has become more of a common thing. Dont worry about it. Once you get the letter, prepare a response with the right evidence with the help of the attorney, and you should be fine.

They need to have EAD with no expiry. There is no reason for the EAD to expire except getting your GC. Same for AP.
How about getting DENIED a green card? That's the whole idea of having expiration on EAD - so that people can't extend after they have been denied. And getting the money, too. EAD fees are #1 money makers for USCIS.

I got the paperwork from my attorney for my wife's 485 as they want us to be ready so that if dates are current, we just mail the paperwork without having to start at that time.
However, my wife is pregnant and i am not sure if medical examinations are possible. What are my options ?
Complete medicals without the vaccines, etc which cannot be taken during pregnancy. The Civil surgeon shoould make a note on the medical report that the applicant is pregnant and so medical is incomplete.
When your 485 is picked up for processing, an RFE will be issued and then she can complete the rest.

This rule is NOT yet in place. Please be careful when posting such messages. This 45-day rule was barely proposed. The bottom line is that if your I140 with the old priority date was approved and not canceled due to mispresentation or froud, you can port the old priority date when applying for the new I140.
